Microsoft specifically warns against adding your own inputprofile_ xml files in their SDK documentation

While it has worked for me, I do not know the full long-term effects it may have. You undertake this at your own risk.

This process will only generate the aircraft type control profiles. It does not generate general or specific control profiles.
